Dr. Arun B Nair

(Psychiatrist)

Dr. Arun B Nair is currently associating with us solely in the capacity of an honorary advisor. At present he is working in the position of Assistant Professor at Govt. Medical College, Trivandrum and is also serving as a Guest faculty at Child Development Centre Tvm. His knowledge and proficiency in the field of psychiatry is clearly reflected in the 15 books authored by him which includes 'Live Learn Look Bright' and 'Advances in Psychiatry and Medicine'. He has conducted over 1000 episodes of health and social awareness programs in various TV channels. He was also the judge of the reality show 'Made for each other' (Mazhavil Manorama) and the civil service interview model program 'one in millions'(Amrita TV).

He has written over 1000 articles on health and social issues in various newspapers and periodicals and was the author of the section on mental health in 'sarvaroga vijnana kosam', the first health encyclopedia in malayalam. 

He is the resource person for various training programs organised by health, education and social justice departments. And is also working as a guest faculty of Kerala Judicial Academy High court of Kerala, State institute of health and family welfare, IMG, Academic staff college Kerala University etc. He has published research papers on adolescent suicides, alcohol use disorder  and psychosomatic disorders. His deep understanding of human cognitive behaviour has helped a wide range of people struggling with various social and mental issues.

He has been honored with a number of awards and recognitions including vocational excellence award of Rotary international (2014), Nammude Arogyam award of IMA (2016), Social media award 2017, and 'Mind' award by Remind center of excellence in 2018.
